Shannon Owens - Owner/Dog Trainer

Shannon was born in Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada and grew up traveling across America before eventually settling in Georgia in 2000. She has been working professionally with animals since she was 16 years old and has always had a natural ability to read body language and energy of dogs. With over 20 years of professional canine handling experience, including her role as a certified veterinary technician and dog sports trainer, Shannon's ability to navigate challenges surrounding dog behavior is unmatched.

From her role in emergency veterinary hospitals as a lead ER triage tech to her career in training agility, disc, dock diving, and advanced obedience, Shannon has a mastery of skills that have allowed her to take on any behavioral challenge and rehabilitate dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Her multiple degrees in Veterinary Technology and Behavioral Psychology allow her to understand far more about dogs and people than the average dog trainer. Her passion lies not only in modifying complex behavior problems but also in helping people understand their dogs' unique temperaments and behaviors, allowing her clients to receive the full picture of their dog's genetics, medical history, and temperaments.

Through her renowned "Camp Shannon" board and train services, as well as online consultations and seminars, she effectively addresses and rehabilitates anywhere from moderate to serious behavioral issues.
